our approach - the teachers - the space
The Space
The Actors Space is located in a place of outstanding natural beauty, right in the heart of the Catalan countryside, only one hour from Barcelona.
The workshops take place in a 16th century farmhouse, which holds accommodation for up to 20 people.
The main barn has been converted into a large studio; this is where most of the workshop sessions happen.
We also often work outdoors. The farm has many acres of woodland and meadows.
Truly international
These International Theatre and Film workshops attract people from all over the world. Within a group there is always many nationalities (one time the song “Happy birthday” was sung in 7 different languages!). The workshops are always a real melting pot of cultures.
These acting courses offer a great opportunity to network, meet other people from other places and share experiences.

The house is run by a family. Maria Angels, the cook, is well acclaimed by the participants for her excellent cooking. You can be sure of eating delicious home made Mediterranean food with fresh vegetables from the garden. Her specialty is the casseroles, which always have a special “Maria Angels” touch. She also caters for vegetarians.
Jordi, her husband, offers a welcoming smile, a helping hand when needed and makes sure that everyone is comfortable.
The house has also a swimming pool, which is enjoyed during the breaks on hot days.
All our workshops are residential. This creates a special atmosphere, making the group bond very quickly. There are many areas in the house to relax, socialize or rest. The main language spoken at The Actors Space is English.
